1.This program is designed for:

    Foreigners who plan to study Chinese language and get familiar with Chinese culture, wish to improve their Chinese proficiency and prepare for medical-related majors, or who are interested in Chinese culture.

2. Main courses and their features:

    Main courses:

    Autumn Class: Comprehensive Chinese , Chinese Listening and Speaking, Chinese Reading and Writing, Overview of China, HSK Standard Course

    Features:

l Course contents: Chinese language courses are the main ones, supplemented by others related to Chinese culture.

l Course Objectives: To cultivate students' Chinese language knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills.

l Features of the course: After completing the prescribed courses and passing the examinations, the student is expected to have a preliminary understanding of the general picture of Chinese culture and society, use relevant skills to deal with the basic problems in daily life in China, and reach Level 4 of the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK).

3. Completion and certificate award:

    Those who have completed the prescribed courses and passed the examinations can obtain a certificate of completion issued by Jiangsu College of Nursing; they can register for the HSK according to their personal wishes; those with excellent scores can directly apply for admission to JCN's junior-college degree program.

8. Admission requirements and prerequisites:

l Over 18 years old and under 40 years old

l In good health, with a valid foreign passport

l Graduated from high school or above

9. Fees :

    Tuition fee: RMB 4,000 per academic year (students are entitled for the Presidential Scholarship for entire tuition fee) . After receiving the admission notice, the applicant needs to transfer RMB 1,000 as non refundable deposit to the designated college account. This deposit will be refunded once the student completes the course from our college.

10. Application materials:

l Scanned copy of passport (passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of application submission)

l Diploma of high school or higher education

l Electronic photo: file name and format: Applicant's name and photo in jpg format

Image requirements: 2-inch full face ID photo; white background without borders; the head accounts for 2/3 of the photo size; no less than 320*240 pixels; the aspect ratio is 4:3, and the digital size is between 100 and 500 KB (including 100 and 500 KB).

l Non criminal record (police clearance)

11. Application Instructions:

    Please fill in the information of the financial guarantor truthfully. If necessary, JCN will notify the applicant to submit the proof of financial guarantee and/or the income proof of the financial guarantor.

    After the materials are reviewed and approved, a pre-admission notice will be issued, and an ensuing interview will be scheduled; after all the admissions work is completed, the official Letter of Admission will be issued once the tuition deposit is paid.
