At the beginning of a new semester, the Chinese Language Class 2022 for International Students officially began with the joint efforts of School of International Education, Academic Affairs Office, Department of General Education , and School of Nursing and Midwifery. Twenty-four international students from Morocco, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other countries attended the class.

According to the teaching plan of Jiangsu College of Nursing , School of International Education offers a one-year live-streaming course online, including Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening and Speaking, Chinese Reading and Writing, Understanding China, HSK Standard Course, etc. Teachers with high English proficiency and excellent teaching effect are selected as instructors.

To help international students gain a deeper understanding of JSCN and boost their enthusiasm for learning, School of International Education organized a class opening ceremony recently. At the ceremony, international students watched the promotional videos of Jiangsu College of Nursing and the city of Huai’an. The head of School of International Education introduced the basic situation and teaching arrangement of the college and delivered a message to the international students: Firstly, they should communicate more with each other during the study to enhance their understanding and expand their circle of friends. Secondly, they should cherish the valuable learning opportunities, improve their Chinese language skills, and accomplish the set learning goals. Thirdly, they should become messengers of cultural exchange, spread the excellent culture of their home countries to China, and facilitate the Chinese culture to step out into the world. At the opening ceremony, the head of teaching also introduced the relevant regulations of teaching administration at JSCN to the international students.

Since this year, JSCN has been actively coping with the impact of the pandemic, stabilizing the source of international students through “online enrollment”, focusing on the cultivation quality of international students, continuously enhancing the capacity of enrolling international students, and enriching the brand connotation of “Study in JSCN”.
