On the afternoon of July 31, Ms. Liu Jinghui, President of the China Association for International Education (CASFA), Ms. Xi Xie, the Dean, and Ms. Zhao Weiyi, the Vice Dean of the School of International Education, Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA), visited Jiangsu College of Nursing (JSCN) to conduct special research on internationalization of the college and the education of international students. Ms. Lu Zhiqun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of JSCN, Mr. Fu Yufeng, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of JSCN, and the staff of International Cooperation and Exchange Office (School of International Education) accompanied them during the research.

After listening to the report on the work of JSCN, Ms. Liu Jinghui affirmed our achievements in opening up education to the outside world. She analyzed the adaptability of vocational education from two dimensions of vocational education and international education, the match between the supply of vocational education and the demand of economic and social development, as well as the opportunities and challenges of foreign exchange and cooperation in the backdrop of the pandemic. She pointed out that it is necessary to stay true to the original aspiration of international cooperation and exchange in education, adjusting measures to school conditions, and think systematically oriented by problem solving to plan long-term development goals; focus on the result of action, promote the goals with substantial international projects, and cultivate technical and skilled talents with global vision and knowledge of international rules who are competent to participate in international affairs and competition. Based on the actual situation of JSCN, Ms. Liu proposed the key tasks in the international student enrollment, teaching, routine management and other aspects, hoping that JSCN can fully exert the characteristics of international education and teaching, expand the cooperation and cultivation channels with overseas enterprises, and enhance the cultivation quality and efficiency of international students effectively.

With the practical experiences of international student pre-university program and professional education enrollment, curriculum construction, and special teaching at NUA as an example, Ms. Xi Xie and Ms. Zhao Weiyi provided guidance on the issues encountered by JSCN during international education management.

Mr. Fu expressed his warm welcome to CASFA for the research and guidance. He said that the research trip of CASFA provided a valuable learning opportunity for the internationalization and international student cultivation of JSCN, which was very inspiring and rewarding. JSCN will follow the requirements proposed in this research, focus on the key points, boost characteristic growth, take quality first, make further contribution of education to economic and social development, and demonstrate the mission and responsibility of higher vocational medical and health colleges in building a community of common health for mankind.
